This is a snow operation, not a landscaping company that plows on the side. The trucks run blades through the winter and the whole schedule is built around storms rather than fitted around mowing routes that finished in October.
Most of the work is commercial: parking lots, multi-tenant and industrial property, retail and restaurant lots, apartment and association properties, and the walks and entries attached to them. Residential driveways are taken on as route capacity allows.
How we work
Every property gets walked before the season. That walk is where the stacking areas get chosen, the curbs and drains get noted, and the trigger depth gets set. It is also where you find out honestly whether a property can be served well from Waukegan or whether the drive makes it somebody else's job.
During a storm the trucks run in a fixed order and you know your place in it. Nobody is promised a response time that cannot be kept in a blizzard, and if we cannot get to you, you get told that rather than left wondering.
